1. Model search

From now on there is a model search at ratioparts. This is immediately visible placed on the home page. Via this model search you now have the possibility to enter the manufacturer, the device type and the model code. After clicking on "Search", the set filters are applied and all articles for this device are then displayed. In the article hit list you then have the possibility to make further restrictions (if desired).
When selecting the individual specifications in the model search, the order of the filters does not have to be observed. You can also select the device type first, then the manufacturer and finally the model code etc. Or, you only have the model code at hand and search exclusively for it. So you don't have to fill all three fields. After selecting a filter, the set filter will be displayed under the model search for your overview. If you notice that you have set a filter incorrectly, you can easily remove or reset it.
The search for models has not only been made easier on the start page. Also the filters in the categories and next to search results have been optimized...

2. Optimization of filters and article hits

In addition to the model search, the filters also offer a better possibility to filter by device data now. This adjustment enables a more targeted filtering with regard to device data than before.

In addition, the view of the article hits has been adjusted so that you now see more articles already at first glance.

3. Dangerous goods, bulky goods & forwarding as an icon

If an item was a dangerous good, this was already indicated by an icon under the description on the item detail page. In the future, this will also be the case for freight forwarding and bulky goods. In addition to the display on the item detail page, these icons will also be displayed again in the shopping cart overview. Thus you have a direct overview of the articles, which could have effects on your freight costs. An explanation of the calculation of freight costs can be found under point 5.

4. Order lists (e.g. for pre orders)

Since we offer you an opportunity to secure pre orders through us several times a year, we have thought about how we can make it possible for you to not only collect these pre orders in one place, but also to be able to order directly from this collection at a specific time. Up to now, you had the possibility to remember certain articles via the wish list. However, this is not sufficient for an extensive pre order, since e.g. a sum calculation of the individual, as well as the total sum was missing. Since the wish list is also increasingly used by many customers to actually remember individual articles, we leave this function untouched and create a new function for the management of pre orders - The order lists -

This order list function can be found under "My Account" or directly via the footer menu of the webshop.

If you select this menu item, you will get to the overview of the order lists and have many different options:

>> Overview & management of all lists

>> Create & edit lists in the area

>> Import existing CSV files as order lists

>> Search lists in the overview by name & date

>> Lists are sortable in the view by different criteria

>> Add items individually in the lists

>> Add items to a list from the detail page (and create a new list this way)

>> Convert shopping cart to order list

>> Convert order list to shopping cart

5. Freight cost calculation in the webshop

Until now, the freight costs were added after yu had finished your order in our webshop and no information on the costs was given in the shop before. From now on, the costs incurred will already be displayed in the order completion process. The costs listed there are made up of the freight costs for the selected shipping method, the packaging costs and any other charges, such as minimum quantity surcharges. Details of the freight costs are displayed in order completion steps 1 and 3.

6. Calculation up to the freight limit permanently visible

Until now, the amount still missing until your freight limit was reached was only displayed in the order completion process. From now on, you will also find this information in the header of the store. If you have already reached the freight limit, you will see a green check mark. If you are still missing a certain amount, this is represented by a pie chart. If you move your mouse over this icon, the exact amount you are still missing will appear. If you are already in the order completion process and then realize that you are still missing a small amount, we will provide you with a page there where we suggest generally usable items in different price categories and thus give you a little inspiration as to which items you could order as well in order to reach your freight allowance.

7. List view & quick view

The list view has been implemented so that more details about an article are already visible in the article overview after a search or in a category than previously the description, the price and the article number. This list view contains details from the article detail page in addition to the previous information. You can select this view directly above the article overview.

If you still want to use the gallery view, it will be possible to call up the details of an article here without having to switch to the article detail page, too. To do this, use the quick view. A popup window will then open, presenting you the details of the article.

8. Prevention of double login with the same customer number

If you have employed several people who want to use your webshop access, the purchaser function should be used in these cases. This means that several webshop accesses are activated for your customer number, which can then be used by the different persons/devices. This has both a legal and technical background.

Occasionally, a customer number is used to log on with different devices and by different people. This can lead to the fact that e.g. the shopping cart of the 1st user is deleted, if the 2nd user logs in with the same login on another device. The following has now been implemented: If user 1 is logged in with the customer number 123456 and user 2 tries to log in as well, the following message appears:

"You are already logged in with this user on another device. Please select whether you want to continue the login here and use it to log off the other device, or cancel the login here."

If user 2 decides to cancel the login, the logged in user 1 on the other device will not notice. However, if user 2 decides to continue logging in, the other user 1 will be logged out. He then receives the following info pop-up in the store:

"You have been logged out because another device has logged in with this login."

This solution prevents problems related to the shopping cart filled by user 1 from occurring as soon as another user starts a login attempt. Before the user is logged out by the login of the 2nd user, the shopping cart is saved.
